South Korea has reiterated its determination to accelerate its declaration to end the Korean War.

After Monday’s meeting in Washington with the US Special Envoy for North Korea Sung Kim, South Korea’s special envoy Noh Kyu-duk said he believed recent discussions between the two sides had “deepened” the US administration’s understanding of South Korea’s wishes. to declare the end of the war.

“South Korea and America share an assessment of the recent situation on the Korean Peninsula, and we agree that it is very important to keep the situation stable, without escalating tensions.”

Noh said the two envoys filled most of Monday’s meeting with Kim for in-depth discussions on the issue.
