Nearly a month after announcing regulations requiring millions of Americans to receive an injection of the COVID-19 vaccine, President Joe Biden on Thursday (7/10) echoed the success of the program during a visit to Chicago, Illinois.
In a statement he gave at Clayco, a construction company, Biden said his mandated orders have proven effective and that millions of Americans have now received vaccine shots since the regulations were announced.
“We know there is no other way to beat this pandemic than to get the majority of Americans vaccinated. We’re not there yet, we have to beat this pandemic,” Biden said.

A Quinnipiac University poll published earlier this week showed public support for Biden’s handling of the COVID-19 pandemic stood at 48 percent. There are about 50 percent who do not support the way the Biden government handles it.
Last month, Biden announced plans to make vaccination mandatory at companies with 100 or more employees. Those who are not vaccinated must undergo weekly COVID-19 tests. This mandate affects more than 100 million workers in America. (jm / em)
